Paul Fernandez has over 20 years of experience across multiple industries, both in the public and private sectors spanning the Middle East, South East Asia, and the United Kingdom. He specialises in business development, marketing communication, human resources, education, event, and sports management as well as community development.
Paul has extensive community development experience in Singapore’s largest grassroots network, People’s Association, a statutory board that plays a crucial role in maintaining social cohesion in Singapore. He later ventured to Abu Dhabi in 2009 as Director of Corporate Affairs with the Royal Group of Companies, Reem Investments a UAE based real estate and financial investments firm. Heading the corporate communications, human resources, and information technology departments, he has been instrumental in kickstarting initiatives that have placed the company as one of the top employers of choice in the UAE.
Besides being a senior partner with TransCultural Group, Paul is the founder of SportOn Global, providing strategic and public relations consultancy across different industries. He has worked with global brands such as Manchester United and Valencia FC’s, Singapore Airlines, Nike, Epson, Eurosports and Red Bull, to name a few. He also provides advisory services on sustainable development practices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Paul graduated with a Master’s in Mass Communication from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is also a member of Global Compact Singapore, the local chapter of United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
